The Exchange on Walt Disney World Resorts
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Resort Category:
Deluxe Villa
Great for:
Conventions, Family Reunions, and Retirees.
Biggest Perk:
The size of this resort makes it the ultimate selection if you are planning a trip for a large group/organization. Another great aspect of this resort is the varying size of the rooms (Studio Villas all the way up to 3 Bedroom Grand Villas), making this a great option for families of all sizes.
Biggest Drawback:
The biggest perk is also the biggest drawback! Because of the size of this resort, there are 5 bus stops around property. This is very convenient for getting from one side of the resort to another, but not very convenient when returning from a busy park day on a crowded bus that has to stop 5 times.
The Exchange's Top Tip:
Make sure to book or request a room near the Hospitality House. This will ensure you are near dining, the main pool area, and the convenient boats to the Disney Springs dining and shopping area.
Available Resort Dining:
The Turf Club Bar and Grill (Table Service Dining); The Artist's Palette (Quick Service Dining); The Paddock Grill (Pool Bar and Quick Service Dining); The Turf Club Lounge (Small Plates Menu, no dining plan availability); Backstretch Pool Bar (Pool Bar and Quick Service Dining); On the Rocks (Pool Bar and Quick Service Dining); and Chip 'n' Dale's Cafe (Entree Menu, but no dining plan availability).

Overall thoughts:
The most attractive aspect about this resort is the price. While this resort boasts a huge complex with varying floor plans, it's proximity to Disney Springs means that it's a good 20-25 minute bus ride to all of the major theme parks. When you add onto that bus ride, 5 stops around the resort itself, it can make for a very long commute. We love this resort for families who may be looking for varying floor plans and a fun Disney experience, but who are maybe not planning on doing a bunch of back and forth into the parks in the same day.
If you are looking for a fun and unique experience, consider booking one of the Treehouse Villas! They are not only a great size for a larger family, but they are fun and autonomous rooms in a relaxing and 'woodsy' atmosphere.
