The Exchange on Walt Disney World Resorts
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Resort Category:
Moderate
Great for:
Families with older children, Couples, Conventions, and Family Reunions.
Biggest Perk:
The size of this resort makes it the ultimate selection if you are planning a trip for a large group/organization. Because of the size of this resort, there are numerous dining options and amenities including multiple pools and other recreational activities. The Gran Destino tower provides for an upgraded experience at moderate prices.
Biggest Drawback:
The biggest perk is also the biggest drawback! Because of the size of this resort, there are 4 bus stops around property. This is very convenient for getting from one side of the resort to another, but not very convenient when returning from a busy park day on a crowded bus that has to stop 4 times.
The Exchange's Top Tip:
Booking a preferred room puts you in a location on property that is very close to dining, transportation, and the convention center (but not exactly close to the main pool area- The Dig Site).
Available Resort Dining:
Maya Grill (Table Service Dining); Rix Sports Bar & Grill (Table Service Dining); Toledo - Tapas, Steak, & Seafood (Table Service Dining); Three Bridges Bar & Grill (Table Service Dining); El Mercado de Coronado (Quick Service Dining); Cafe Rix (Quick Service Dining); Barcelona Lounge (Drinks and Small Plate Menu, no dining plan availability); Dahlia Lounge (Drinks and Small Plate Menu, no dining plan availability); Siestas Cantina (Pool Bar and some Quick Service Dining); and Laguna Bar (Drink Menu Only).

Overall thoughts:
The most attractive aspect about this resort is the price as this resort provides some nice amenities for a reasonable price (often these rooms are also available for whatever promotional rate Disney is advertising) with convenience access to one of the best main pool areas on property and a plethora of dining options (the most of any moderate resort). Staying in the tower gets you a little bit of extra luxury as it's very nearly deluxe resort quality. The only downside is that this resort is a bit of a ride from all four theme parks.
