Our Favorite Universal Restaurants....and why!
RESORTS
Captain Cooks at the Polynesian: best resort quick service at a resort. Incredible food. Try the pork nachos or the Tonga toast if you get a chance, but prepare to share!
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at the Port Orleans French Quarter: there are lots of great options, especially the beniets.
Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort (poolside): great poolside option if you don't want to have to change out of your suit.
**There is also a quick service in every resort and most are perfectly fine. If you purchased the dining plan, make sure to stop down there and grab your refillable resort mug for your trip. This mug can be used at any resort quick service.
DISNEY SPRINGS
Earl of Sandwich (I love this one, but it's always packed)
Morimoto Asia Street Food (OMG YUM!)
Wolfgang Puck® Express
MAGIC KINGDOM
Columbia Harbour House (near the haunted mansion ride): has a similar menu to some of the restaurants, without the table service price tag so their clam chowder and their fish and chips is awesome.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (near the splash mountain ride, also a great spot to watch parades if you can get a seat on the terrace)- fun southwest style food, also the platters here are excellent portion size for kiddos sharing a meal.
Gaston's Tavern (back behind Be Our Guest and near the little mermaid ride)- best cinnamon rolls EVER, very shareable.
EPCOT
Sunshine Seasons (in the Land Pavilion)- excellent food and tons of themed options in case everyone wants something different. The Platters are great portion size for those sharing a meal.
La Cantina de San Angel (at the Mexico Pavilion)- great Mexican food, but ALWAYS packed, try heading there at "off" times. During the day there is indoor seating at the restaurant next door which is really nice.
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie (at the France Pavilion, in the back)- excellent sandwiches and pastries. Kind of a pain for sitting though, so split up and find a spot to sit outside before you go get food.
Lotus Blossom Café (at the China Pavilion)- excellent quick Chinese food, similar items to the nicer restaurant Nine Dragons next door but at a quick service price.
ANIMAL KINGDOM
Flame Tree BBQ (near Bugs Life)- excellent portion sizes, can definitely be shared.
Harambe Market (near the Safari ride)- lots of options but ALWAYS packed.
Restaurantosaurus (near DinoSAUR)-decent option for lunch staples like burgers, etc. It's also very comfortable inside and drinks are free refills.
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Fairfax Fare (over by Rockin Roller Coaster)- this one has a bunch of options all in one are, so there should be plenty to choose from over here. They also have excellent portion sizes with the platters.
Backlot Express (by the Star Tours ride)- This does get a little packed at meal times, but it has some fun Star Wars themed options, you can't go wrong with that!
