The Exchange on Walt Disney World Resorts
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter
Resort Category:
Moderate
Great for:
Families with children of all ages, Couples, and Retirees.
Biggest Perk:
The smaller size of this resort makes it one of the most convenient moderate resorts to stay at. Where other moderate resorts are so large that they have several bus stops around this property, this one only has one bus stop in the front of the resort. Also, no matter what room you are in, you are never really all that far from the main lobby or the main pool area. It's also a bit on the quiet side, which may be nice if that's what you are looking for.
Biggest Drawback:
The biggest perk is also the biggest drawback! Because this is the smallest moderate resort, it doesn't have quite as much as the others as far as dining an amenities. For most folks, this is still more than enough, but we like to let you know up front what you are dealing with.
The Exchange's Top Tip:
If you are booking for multiple rooms, requesting connecting rooms is always fun! Also, don't forget to try the beignets available at the quick service restaurant for a little N'awlins treat.
Available Resort Dining:
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (Quick Service Dining); Mardi Grogs (Entree Menu, but no dining plan available); and Scat Cat's Club (Small Plate Menu, but no dining plan available).

Overall thoughts:
We love recommending this resort for the budget conscious client. This resort has many conveniences of deluxe resorts without the price tag. For instance, it's very close to 3 of the 4 theme parks and it has ferry service to the Disney Springs, but it's also a smaller sized resort that only requires one bus stop. This resort is great for someone looking for a bit of a quieter experience.
